Top Hino dealers lauded

Hino Motor Sales Australia has announced its top-performing dealers of 2013 at a recent gala awards evening in Sydney
The best-performing and highest-achieving dealers in Hino’s Australian dealer network have been recognised at Hino's dealer awards night.
Held recently at the Four Seasons Hotel in Sydney and presented by Hino Australia Chairman and CEO, Steve Lotter, the gala evening saw the two top awards – 2013 Metropolitan Dealer of the Year and 2013 Rural Dealer of the Year – go to South Australia’s CMI Hino Adelaide and New South Wales’ Newcastle Hino respectively. It was the second time Newcastle Hino has claimed the award – it was also Hino’s Rural Dealer of the Year in 2006.
The evening was conducted under the theme of ‘Total Support’ – a global push by Hino to maximise customer service and minimise vehicle downtime. Mr Lotter said Hino’s top Australian dealers were all fine examples of the Total Support initiative.
“Hino’s sales have been getting stronger – they reached 4156 units in 2013 and our market share grew to 15.8 per cent,” he said.
“No matter how good Hino’s trucks are, this growth wouldn’t have been possible without a strong dealer network.
“Hino Australia would like to congratulate all of the top achievers from 2013, and we look forward to their ongoing support throughout the rest of 2014 and beyond.”
CMI Hino Adelaide’s Chris Morrison (pictured, left) said the dealership was thrilled to be named Metropolitan Dealer of the Year. 
“The collective of all the departments – service, parts and sales – combined with an improvement in our fleet sales, helped us with this great result,” he said.
Newcastle Hino’s Sean Lynch (pictured, right) was equally pleased with that dealership’s accolade.
“It’s always down to people – you’ve got to have the right ones and you need to have all the team working as one,” he said.
“It’s always an honour to win a prestige award like Hino Dealer of the Year – it’s hard to do it and we’re over the moon at Newcastle Hino.”
