Top Hino dealers lauded

Hino has announced its top dealers for 2014 at its Hino Dealer of the Year Awards, held recently at the Four Seasons Hotel in Sydney.

Also incorporating a celebration for the 50th anniversary of Hino truck and bus sales in Australia, the night saw CMI Adelaide named as Hino's Metropolitan Dealer of the Year and Newcastle Hino as Hino's Regional Dealer of the Year.

It was the second consecutive year that both dealerships had been awarded the titles.

Chris Morrison (pictured, left) of CMI Adelaide said he was thrilled to secure the title for the second year running.

"It shows that when you do the little things right, the big things happen naturally," he said.

"It comes from the culture of our business: we treat our customers the way we'd like to be treated, and we were consistent across all areas of the business."

The award for Newcastle Hino was accepted by Sean Lynch (pictured, right). A statement from the dealership said the award recognised the consistent effort applied by its dedicated team.

"This prestigious award is fitting recognition of the hard work of the entire dealership team and reflects the quality and success of the Hino product and the support received from Hino Australia," the statement said.

"Newcastle Hino is committed to continual improvement in every aspect of its business."

The night was attended by Hino Motor Sales Asia and Oceania Sales and Marketing Officer, Takeo Saito, who was visiting from Japan.

Mr Saito underlined the importance of the Australian market on the world stage.

"Global sales of Hino trucks increased in 2014, reaching a total of over 168,000 units," he said.

"Australia has played an important role in achieving this, and it ranks eighth in the more than 80 countries where the brand is sold."
