“However, the fledging product technology is currently climbing the apex of what must be considered Australia’s Mt Everest of legislative hurdles to get a foothold in the Australian freight and logistics market,” the statement said.

“Electric and hydrogen vehicles will help accelerate Linfox’s path to zero net emissions and play a critical role in the future of our business, and we look forward to discussing the use of alternative fuels in transport and logistics,” Linfox added.

Linfox's new Volvo FL Electric is delivering green cans around Melbourne.

Linfox recently took delivery of a new Volvo FL all-electric truck, the first-ever electric vehicle in the Linfox fleet. And the company said it will be the first of many Linfox electric vehicles as electric vehicle production ramps up worldwide.
