High-end German trailer brand Langendorf will be showcasing its wares at the imminent 2014 International Truck, Trailer & Equipment Show (ITTES), due to be held at Melbourne’s Royal Showgrounds over April 3-6, 2014.
Langendorf, which is based in Waltrop in Germany’s west, is renowned in particular for its glass transport trailers, with products that safely lower to the ground to accept A- and L-shaped glass racks.
The innovative design of Langendorf’s ‘Floatliner’ trailer sees the trailer reversed onto the rack to load it, essentially merging the rack with the trailer in the process.
At the ITTES, Langendorf will be displaying a new variant of its Floatliner concept designed to transport sections of pre-cast concrete. Named the ‘Innenloader’, the trailer to be shown was recently sold to South Australian firm, Bianco Precast.
According to Langendorf, the Innenloader’s design makes for extremely efficient turnarounds.
“The special design of the trailer, with its independent wheel suspension, allows for palletised precast to be loaded and unloaded in a safe and simple way,” the company says.
“On site, the driver can simply unload the pallet and does not have to wait for a crane to unload it.”
