Trailer manufacturer supports men's health

MaxiTRANS staff show their support for men’s health by committing to the Movember campaign, raising awareness for a great cause

It’s the month of the year where males from around the nation can have a go at growing some facial hair all in support of a good cause. Movember, held every November, raises awareness about men’s health issues which include prostate and testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention.

Initiated by staff within the company, a number of Movember teams have been created throughout the businesses which is combining to raise funds for the cause.

MaxiTRANS Managing Director and CEO, Dean Jenkins, said: “It is fantastic to see the MaxiTRANS family get behind the cause and drive awareness through a range of activities as part of the Movembee campaign. The initiative from the Movember teams that have been created within the business and the passion they each bring to supporting the cause is truly commendable.”

Dean said that MaxiTRANS is committed to improving a culture that can speak openly about men’s health for both customers and our staff. “This is why we are actively involved with many industry bodies driving the message of health issues for all of our customers and the greater road users.

“We also place significant emphasis on having a safe work environment at all our facilities. Safety is a fundamental driver not only in the development of all of our products but it also extends through one of our company values.” Adding that it is outstanding to see the MaxiTRANS team get behind this company value and driving it with some great initiatives with the latest being Movember.

Safety today, whether it be at home or at work, is not just physical it includes mental wellbeing, something that the Company is passionate about supporting.

“I am impressed to see teams, from across our various sites throughout Australia, voluntarily drive these initiatives,” said Dean. “Most importantly though, we should not limit awareness and prevention to just one particular time a year. We should all feel empowered to check in regularly with our friends and colleagues, should you notice a difference in behaviour,” he added.
