Truck Week 25 – formerly known as Australian Heavy Vehicle Industry Week – will feature an array of new activations in and around the 2025 Brisbane Truck Show, with the physical boundaries extending from the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre into the South Bank Parklands, TAFE Queensland South Bank campus and across the city.
As part of the festivities, Little Stanley Street will again be closed to traffic to showcase the best show ‘n’ shine trucks from around Australia, while other highlights will include the Premier Boxing Series and The Depot, a new careers and entertainment precinct.

Curated by custom truck guru Warren Aitken, the show ‘n’ shine will feature as many as 28 customised prime movers drawn from community-based winners across the country over the previous 12 months.
Brisbane Truck Show attendees will also have the chance to vote for what they believe is the best truck on show – the Truck Week Show ‘N’ Shine People's Choice Champion 2025. A panel of experts will also judge the Truck Week National Truck Show Champion of Champions 2025 award.
The careers precinct at the TAFE Queensland South Bank campus will highlight opportunities in Australia’s heavy vehicle industry.
The hub will feature more than 31 apprenticeship and certificate-based career paths including hands-on and virtual interactive displays such as the Brisbane Driving School simulator.
There’ll also be music, commentary, interviews and presentations offering students a behind-the-scenes look at Australia’s heavy vehicle industry.
For pure entertainment, boxing fans will be in for a huge treat with the Premier Boxing Series (PBS) at the South Bank Piazza on the Friday and Saturday nights.

Boasting a variety of national and regional champions, there will be six professional bouts each night alongside a healthy undercard of amateur boxers.
Beyond South Bank, Truck Week will also incorporate the Heavy Equipment and Machinery Show at the Brisbane Showgrounds, which will again run alongside the Truck Show from Thursday to Saturday.
The 2025 Brisbane Truck Show will also incorporate the incredibly popular Heritage Truck Show, to be held at the Rocklea Showgrounds from May 17-18, 2025 with an array of classics on site.
Heavy Vehicle Industry Australia Chief Executive, Todd Hacking, is ebullient with the response to Truck Week’s strategic expansion into a week-long festival.
“All of that success is a reflection on the leadership shown by so many of our exhibitors who did such an amazing job of showcasing the values of their companies and our industry to the broader community,” he says.

“The opportunity to showcase our industry in this spectacular location provides the perfect opportunity to share our story with the community in a tangible and lasting way.
“We are extremely grateful to the Queensland Government and the City of Brisbane for coming on board to enable this initiative to come to life.
“They recognise that the Brisbane Truck Show is a vital Queensland business, tourism and cultural asset, recognised internationally amongst the world’s leading industry business events.”
