Later this month the National Road Transport Hall of Fame will again celebrate the achievements and lifetime commitment of the Australian road transport community who keep Australia moving.
The three-day event from August 25 to 27 returns to Alice Springs and will be headlined by the coveted inductee ceremony taking place on Saturday morning, which will see 75 road transport heroes inducted in Shell Rimula Wall of Fame.
The event has been sponsored by Shell Rimula for the past 17 years,
The weekend kicks off with a breakfast on Friday to celebrate Australian women who have helped shape the industry. The main event, the Shell Rimula Wall of Fame Ceremony, takes place the following morning before the 2017 Shell Rimula Wall of Fame Dinner Dance that evening.
“As the heart of Australia what better place than Alice Springs to bring our road transport community together to celebrate the industry’s enduring commitment to keep the country moving and to recognise the individuals inducted into the Shell Rimula Wall of Fame,” said Liz Martin OAM, National Road Transport Hall of Fame CEO.
Commenting ahead of the Wall of Fame celebrations, Paul Fisher, Lubricants Team Leader for Shell’s Licensee, said: “We’re excited to be part of the 2017 event and to welcome the 75 inductees into the prestigious Shell Rimula Wall of Fame.”
“We’re proud of Australia’s road transport heritage, and Shell’s place within that history, and are committed to recognising the individuals of the road transport community for their life-long dedication,” Fisher continued.
