The Trucksales judging panel consists of Trucksales.com.au editor Geoff Middleton, Senior Journalist Rod Chapman, and contributors Allan Whiting and Howard Shanks.
Geoff has been involved in journalism and the automotive industry all his life. He has previously been a specialist 4x4 journalist with Overlander and 4x4 magazines, then was commercial vehicle editor at The Age in Melbourne on a freelance basis. He has worked in the corporate arena for both Daihatsu Australia and Chrysler Jeep Australia, and following a stint as a boating journalist returned to commercial vehicles at Trucksales.

Rod Chapman has a Masters degree in journalism. He has been involved in journalism for over 20 years and previously worked as a motorcycle journalist before joining carsales Ltd as the founding editor of Trucksales.com.au. Rod holds a MC licence and says he loves driving and writing about the Australian trucking industry.

Allan Whiting should need no introduction to those who have been around the trucking scene for a while. Allan has been truck journalist for over 40 years and aside from a brief stint working for Volvo Trucks Australia, he has written about trucks and been around the industry for most of his working life.

Howard Shanks is another who has the industry in his veins. Previously a driver (he still does drive from time to time) and is also a truck driving instructor. He was formerly editor of Truckin Life magazine and is well known for getting out into the industry and getting his hands dirty with operators all over the country.

Next week we will be announcing our short list for the Trucksales Awards and then the eventual winners will be announced in late January.
