With the option of both 8.0-litre and 11.0-litre engines, a 12-speed automated transmission, or a 6-speed Allison automatic, latest sales results indicate that the eight-wheeler Quon is indeed capable of squaring up to the competition in a hotly contested market segment.
UD Trucks saw in the New Year with a record heavy-duty market share of 4.7%, however in the 8x4 segment that share accounts for 34%.
Since its Australian launch in 2020 , the Quon 8x4 has steadily won friends around the country not only in tipper and agitator roles but also in more diverse applications such as livestock transport, heavy tilt tray, waste and general freight to name a few.
