Volvo Trucks Australia has announced its FH Globetrotter XXL cab will soon be available, with what will be its flagship cab to make its official debut at the Brisbane Truck Show on May 16.
The new cab's rear wall is now 250mm further back than in a Globetrotter XL cab, and has a bed that is 130mm longer and 250mm wider than that found in a regular Volvo FH.
Volvo says it's "one of the biggest beds in the business", while it also boasts an innerspring mattress with a pillow on top of each spring and an adjustable recliner section that tailors the bed to the shape of the driver.
A optional second bunk can also be fitted, if required.

Also now packing in extra storage space, Volvo says the new cab addresses the demands of Australia's line-haul truck drivers.
"Australia is one of a very few selected markets that will see the all-new XXL cab and it has been designed with Australia's vast distances in mind," said Tony O’Connell, Vice President of Volvo Trucks Australia.
"We listened to our customers and developed a truck that delivers world-class driver comfort and is a home away from home when drivers are out on the road.
"A well-rested driver is safer and happier and the bigger bed and space to stretch out will help ensure a well-rested sleep."
Volvo says the new cab also meets the manufacturer's stringent Swedish Cab Strength Test safety standards, in addition to the latest ECE R29-03 European Cab Strength standards, which now incorporate rollover simulations.
The new FH Globetrotter XXL cab is constructed from galvanized sheet metal, among other materials, to increase space while keeping additional weight to a minimum.
"We wanted to design a bigger cab that has the strength to withstand Volvo's front impact tests, but without adding too much weight," said Mr O'Connell.
"It is big on size and comfort, big on safety and is supported by the biggest dealer network in Australia and New Zealand. The Volvo FH XXL ticks all the boxes."
