Volvo Group all set for Brisbane

Volvo Group Australia says prospective Volvo, Mack and UD customers are in for something different at the Brisbane Truck Show

Under the theme of 'Your Personal Dealership Experience', Volvo Group Australia (VGA) says visitors to its stand at the upcoming Brisbane Truck Show are in for something special, with the usual truck-show bling passed over in favour of the Group's focus on a first-rate customer experience – from purchase and all the way through a truck's lifecycle.

Whether you're eyeing a new Volvo, Mack or UD model, Volvo Group Australia says its display in Brisbane – which for the first time will feature all three VGA brands – will showcase the comprehensive customer support that goes with any VGA product.

According to VGA President, Peter Voorhoeve, the display in Brisbane will provide prospective customers with a window to Volvo, Mack or UD ownership.

"We go a step further from just selling the product to actually being a business partner and supporting customers in their business operations," he said.

"No matter which of our brands you buy, one thing that is constant is our premium dealership and support network. We want to show our current and prospective customers just how important this is in their purchasing decisions."

The Volvo Group's Australian dealer network comprises over 100 customer service points and over 1000 factory-trained technicians.

"Our customers rely on us 24 hours a day, seven days a week and our Aftersales team stands behind our products and our service 100 per cent," said Mr Voorhoeve.

"Whether you buy a UD Quon, a Mack Super-Liner or a Volvo FH, you can be sure that we'll share with you the responsibility for keeping that truck on the road."

In addition to its next-generation platform of trucks launched last year, Volvo will be previewing its innovative I-Shift Dual Clutch in Brisbane, which essentially sees two transmissions working in unison – each with a separate clutch – to affect super-fast and smooth gear changes.

UD Trucks will be celebrating its 80th anniversary with a new model variant in Brisbane – a Condor PD 24 280 RAA – while Mack Trucks will be giving show-goers the chance to test a Mack demo model for a full year.

The lucky winner will also receive a full support package, with Mack telematics, Driver Development training, Mack Action Service and a 12-month service agreement.

Mr Voorhoeve says the VGA display in Brisbane will offer a compelling vision of Volvo, UD or Mack ownership.

"Our three brands are all backed by people who put the customer at the centre of everything they do," he said.

"Whether it's the 'Volvo Way', UD's Gemba Spirit, or the Mack 'Born Ready' philosophy, our dealers are only interested in one thing: keeping our customers' trucks on the road 100 per cent of the time.

"This stand will amply demonstrate just how we do that, and we're proud and excited to be bringing it all together like this for the first time."

The Brisbane Truck Show will be held at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre over May 14-17.
