VTA confirms CEO

The Victorian Transport Association has announced that its interim CEO, Peter Anderson, has accepted the role on a permanent basis
Industry advocacy group the Victorian Transport Association has confirmed that Peter Anderson (pictured), previously the body's interim Chief Executive Officer, will now fill the role on an on-going basis.
The announcement was made by VTA President, Brendan Hopley, at the association's Christmas Luncheon on Friday, December 12.
"Mr Anderson joined the VTA in October as interim CEO while a thorough search was conducted to fill the role permanently," said Mr Hopley.
"With over 30 years’ experience in the transport industry and a long-standing relationship with the VTA including past membership of the Executive Council, Mr Anderson with his extensive operational knowledge and experience was an obvious choice to fill the role.
"Mr Anderson has already proved himself, spearheading the VTA's advocacy efforts for the benefit of all members as well as the wider transport community.
"The VTA Executive Council are pleased that Mr Anderson has accepted the role permanently and look forward to him leading the association as it continues to deliver positive, best-practice outcomes for all members."
