Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles is rolling out an enticing (BOFY) Beginning of Financial Year deal for retail customers, with a new cut-price Crafter Runner model available nationally from $59,990 drive-away.
With an MRRP of $66,990, Volkswagen says the 'Runner' edition of its largest commercial van represents a $5610 saving compared with the standard Crafter 35 MWB TDI360 van.
It's only available with the Crafter 35 Medium Wheelbase TDI360 specification including the 103kW 2.0-litre TDI360 turbo diesel engine, eight-speed auto, front-wheel drive, and white body paint.

The Crafter Runner has a cargo volume of 9.9m³, or space for four Euro pallets, and a maximum payload of up to 1362kg.
Other highlights include a sliding side door with 1311mm opening width, 570mm loading sill height, 2500kg braked towing capacity, leatherette seat trim, a partition with fixed window and grille, 10.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless App-Connect, full Digital Cockpit Pro, and a leather multi-function steering wheel.
The Runner van also gets a long list of driver aids, including front assist with autonomous emergency braking, lane assist, side assist with blind spot monitoring, cross wind assist, rear view camera and front and rear parking sensors, and a blind spot monitor on both sides.
"The Crafter Runner retains the capability, functionality and reliability that Australian businesses expect from Crafter, while offering a more accessible entry point into the range." said Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles Australia Brand Director Nathan Johnson.
