Gilbert and Roach Kenworth DAF Newcastle collects leading truck award

A Kenworth and DAF dealer in Newcastle has been named the 2021 PACCAR Parts Dealership of the Year, with the prestigious award recognising excellence in a number of different areas.

Gilbert and Roach Kenworth DAF Newcastle was handed the award thanks to its performance in areas such as customer support, sales growth, parts availability, retail marketing activities, and training.

The award was presented by PACCAR Parts Australia’s Damien Smethurst, with Newcastle Dealer Principal, Scott Medhurst, on hand to receive it.   

“I am extremely proud to accept this award on behalf of Joel McDonald and his parts team,” said Medhurst. “The Gilbert and Roach Newcastle parts team consistently delivers outstanding service to our customers. 2021 was a challenging year to say the least, but by working closely with the PACCAR Parts team, they have succeeded in meeting and exceeding their goals.”

Smethurst was full of admiration for the Gilbert and Roach team. “The team at Newcastle achieved outstanding parts results across the board in 2021 in the most challenging of enviroments,” he said. “Scott and Joel are passionate about supporting customers and it was first class leadership and commitment to parts and service that helped them win this award.”
