Following on from the first teaser sent out in early June, Hino Australia has confirmed an important expansion to its range of Japanese-built light-duty trucks, which feature the high horsepower Hino J05 engine mated to a six-speed automatic transmission.
As part of the launch of the new 2020 Hino 300 Series in July, the popular 921 will be joined by the new 721, which will be available with a Gross Vehicle Mass of 6.5 tonnes.
From the name we can deduce that the 721 will have outputs of 205hp (151kW) and 600Nm of torque.
“Further details will be released closer to the time, however we know the new 721 vehicles will be of particular interest to tradespeople and local councils,” said Daniel Petrovski, Product Strategy Manager for Hino Australia.
Hino says that more details about the new 300 Series will be released closer to its launch in July.
