Hino ramps up in NSW and Qld

Wideland Group has opened a further Hino dealership on Qld’s Sunshine Coast and renewed Hino outlets in Tamworth and Toowoomba

Hino is ramping up its offering in New South Wales and Queensland, with the Wideland Goup announcing it has opened a new Hino dealership on the Sunshine Coast and renewed Hino outlets in the regional centres of Tamworth and Toowoomba.

“A successful Hino dealer for over a decade, Wideland Hino has significantly increased its investment in its customers and is now one of Hino Australia’s most prominent dealer groups with these new developments,” said Brian Wright, General Manager – Sales and Supply Chain for Hino Australia.

“This expansion also aligns with Hino Australia’s ongoing commitment to continue to strategically increase our dealership network and provide greater accessibility to our customers.”

Major investment

Chris Swain, Group General Manager for Wideland, said the group now manages Hino dealerships in Tamworth, Sunshine Coast, Muswellbrook, Maryborough, and Toowoomba.

“The investment we have made over the last two years has been focused on providing even better facilities and service to our Hino customers,” he said.

One of Hino Australia’s newest dealerships, the purpose-built Sunshine Coast facility features 25 per cent more workshop and parts storage space, while the display and vehicle storage area is 50 per cent larger, providing better access for customers and more heavy-duty vehicle parking.

“From a service perspective, we can now offer express servicing and will soon provide in-house weighing and brake test services,” said Mr Swain.

Paying dividends

Meanwhile the Tamworth dealership moved to a larger, more prominent premise in August. Wideland says the outlet has increased its sales 10 per cent year on year, while it now has 25 per cent more service capacity and ample spare parts storage.

In May 2021, Wideland Hino was also appointed as the authorised Hino dealer in Toowoomba.

“For Wideland Hino, this was a logical move as our head office is located in Toowoomba, and the Hino dealership there was the final piece of the puzzle,” said Mr Swain.

“Our extensive Hino dealership network allows us to best support customers in the region, and the order intake has surpassed our expectations.”
