Isuzu launches all-new 2025 truck range at Brisbane Truck Show

A historic new chapter for the brand, as it pushes new mechanical, safety and technological frontiers

With entirely new models added to the lineup, along with reimagined transmission, safety and powertrain technologies, Isuzu Trucks has launched its all-new range at the 2025 Brisbane Truck Show.

Under the tagline, ‘Reliability Redefined’, the entire Isuzu truck lineup has been rebuilt and reimagined from the ground up, which includes a swathe of new driveline, emissions, technology and safety measures.

Unique to Isuzu, the entire lineup is underpinned by the global group’s advanced Isuzu Modular Architecture and Components Standard or ‘I-MACS’ – a flexible platform designed to cater to a vast range of operator requirements, while also factoring in future operational and regulators changes.

The range extends from the lightest and car-licence-friendly N Series (starting at 4500kg GVM) right through to the flagship FX and FY Series (up to 32,000kg GVM), making for an eye-watering baseline total of 133 unique models on offer – with that figure topping out at 209 once alternate GVM variations are accounted for.

There’s also a wide selection of wheelbase options available, providing flexibility and fit-for-purpose solutions for Australian customers.

Under the skin, Japanese-built diesel engines power the new Isuzus. The N Series models are fitted with a four-cylinder, turbo-charged and intercooled 4JZ1 engine, available in three power ratings: 150, 175 and 190hp.

New to the F Series is Isuzu’s all-new 6.7-litre, water-cooled DB6A engine, with 260 and 300hp variants.

Isuzu’s six-cylinder, 24-valve 6UZ1-TCC engine finds a home across the FX/FY line-up, producing 355hp.

The 2025 N Series 4x2 lineup has Isuzu’s brand-new MYR9S nine-speed automated manual transmission, while the dual-clutch transmission features a wet clutch design with double overdrive gears.

Retained from previous F Series specifications is Isuzu’s six-speed MZW-6P AMT, with both fully automatic and clutch-less manual operation modes.

Meanwhile, F Series models fitted with the new Isuzu DB6A engine feature exclusive six-speed Allison automatic transmissions.

Allison is also the transmission of choice for both the FX and FY Series at the heavier end of the equation.

Made possible due to a second-generation stereo camera system – and a standout feature across the entire range – the N Series safety suite now contains an additional seven active safety features added in 2025, boasting a grand total of 15 safety aids, making it the safest vehicle Isuzu Trucks has ever developed for the Australian market.

The F Series also improves on an already accomplished dual-lens camera and radar-powered Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS), with a string of extra safety features.

Every model across the line-up, including popular 4x4 models, benefit from a safety suite containing up to 12 active and passive systems.

Isuzu’s ADAS camera technology works in combination with a long-range milli-wave radar, now available on all F Series variants and located in the centre of the bumper bar.

The FX/FY line-up also receives a beefed-up ADAS system fitted with 10 completely new active safety aids including Full Speed Adaptive Cruise Control, Traffic Sign Recognition and Lane Keep Assist.

Updated design elements include the aerodynamic grille, distinctive headlights, newly engineered bumper and full LED exterior headlight assembly, while the driver’s seating position and interface with the steering wheel has been enhanced across all models.

The F and FX/FY Series have ergonomic climate seats, while other interior operational features found across the whole range include an intelligent new steering wheel with integrated pushbutton controls for a 7-inch multi-information display unit.

There’s also volume, and phone control – via the huge Apple and Android agnostic MyIsuzu Co-Pilot touchscreen multimedia system – as well as a raft of control adjustments for all manner of driving conditions.

“For close to four consecutive decades now, Isuzu has had the absolute honour of serving the transport needs and demands of Australian industry – as the country’s truck of choice,” he said.
