PACCAR Australia has named Brown & Hurley Kenworth DAF Darra as its 2021 Kenworth Dealer of the Year, the announcement made at the group’s recent online annual dealer conference.
It’s the fourth time the Brisbane-based dealership has clinched the coveted award, which is open to dealerships across Australia, New Zealand, and Papua New Guinea, and which recognises excellence across truck sales, parts sales, finance, and aftersales support.
The Darra dealership was also named DAF Dealer of the Year in 2020.

PACCAR Australia’s Director, Sales and Marketing, Brad May, congratulated Brown & Hurley Kenworth DAF Darra Dealer Principal, Matt Innes, for this team’s strength and resilience during yet another challenging year.
“Brown & Hurley Kenworth DAF Darra is highly deserving of this award,” he said.
“Their clear and consistent delivery of customer service and support sits at such an enviable position and sets the standard for all.”
Mr Innes said the award was a tribute to his team’s indomitable spirit.
“Winning this coveted Kenworth award is very much welcomed and is validation for the incredible efforts and lengths the whole team has gone to despite the challenges experienced over these past 12 months,” he said.

The online event also saw the announcement of the 2021 DAF Dealer of the Year, which this time went to Kenworth DAF Hallam – the second time the dealership, with three locations dotted throughout Melbourne’s eastern outskirts, has won the title.
In addition to the DAF award, Kenworth DAF Hallam also took out Cummins Dealer of the Year and the PACCAR Service Dealer of the Year award, demonstrating outstanding commitment to their first-class service environment and customer support.
“In a year that everyone hoped would not echo 2020, Kenworth DAF Hallam continued to not only exceed expectations, but it also demonstrated high performance levels in customer service and support to our DAF customers,” said Mr May.
Matthew Keene, General Manager of Hallam Truck Centre, was delighted for his team to receive the accolade.
“Despite the challenging year it was, I couldn’t be more proud of the entire team across our three locations for going that extra mile every time,” he said.
“To win seems like a well-deserved reward and one that certainly belongs to every member of the team.”
