As we predicted early this month, Hino has confirmed that the 300 Series which is due for release to the transport media on July 13 will be fairly bristling with safety features.
According to Hino, the 2020 Hino 300 Series will boast the most comprehensive safety package ever offered by a Japanese manufacturer in the Australian light-duty truck market.
“At Hino Australia, safety is paramount in all our products – the new 300 Series will be the safest Japanese truck in its class, offering a pre-collision system with autonomous emergency braking (AEB), vehicle stability control, reverse camera and a suite of other safety features,” said Daniel Petrovski, Product Strategy Manager for Hino Australia.
This follows on from the 500 Series Standard Cab launched last year which took out the 2020 Trucksales Safety Award.
When the new 500 Series Standard Cab range was launched in April last year, Hino described its safety features as: “The most comprehensive active safety package from a Japanese manufacturer in the medium-duty market.”
We speculate that the 300 Series will an engine upgrade to Euro 6 with fuel savings as well, just as the 500 Series got.
The 500 Series also received an interior makeover with improved ergonomics, new colours and a seven-inch multi-media touch screen giving drivers enhanced technology and audio systems, and we reckon the 300 Series will follow suit here as well.
Watch out in mid-July for all the info on the new Hino 300 Series.
